Dr. Mark J. Williamson

Dr. Mark graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1983. Midway through his senior year Dr. Mark was granted "Clinical Privileges in Restorative Dentistry" by the UDM faculty. This distinction was awarded to a select group of students and allowed Dr. Mark the opportunity to exceed all "requirements" necessary to graduate and to really perfect the art of dentistry. Dr. Mark does indeed feel that dentistry is an ART form, starting with a vision for each procedure and then bringing that vision to fruition.

Dr. Mark has practiced Dentistry in Downtown Flushing for the since 1984. He feels privileged to be a part of this community and has supported all Chamber of Commerce events either personally or financially since 1984. The relationships he has developed with his patients and staff along with his experience and knowledge of Dentistry keeps his passion for Dentistry alive.

Dr. Mark's hobbies include fishing and the restoration of old cars. His wife, Laurel, made the observation years ago that Dr. Mark likes to "restore" things. She made reference to the classic cars, the beautifully restored historical building in which the practice is located and of course teeth! Laurel and Dr. Mark have three children, Douglas, Shanna and Dave. They love their two collies named Champ and Charlotte.

Dr. Williamson is on the faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he enjoys working one on one with the senior dental students.

Dr. Brett Teran

Dr. Brett Teran grew up in Clarkston, Michigan with his father, mother and twin brother Jason. He graduated from Clarkston High School in 1998. Receiving a full tuition academic scholarship, he obtained his Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry in 2002 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Staying in Ann Arbor Dr. Teran received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006.

Early in his career Dr. Teran spent time as an associate dentist in Oakland County, taught at Baker College’s Hygiene School, and was an adjunct faculty member at Michigan’s Dental School. In 2011 he moved to Northern Michigan and practiced dentistry in a small town until his wife, Lindsay became pregnant with their second child. In May of 2016 a mutual supplier connected Dr. Teran with our Flushing dental practice. He and Dr. Williamson met and knew on the spot that a great opportunity had arisen for all involved. By June of 2016, Dr. Teran joined the practice as the lead clinical dentist.

Dr. Teran met his wife Lindsay during his time in Northern Michigan and they married in 2013. In 2014 they were blessed with their son, Julian. A second baby, this time a girl named Ainsley, was born in the Fall 2016. Together they live with three rescue dogs Barney, Molly and Tyson.

In his spare time Dr. Teran enjoys family, sports (Go Blue!), being outdoors, kayaking, and vacationing. He looks forward to meeting all of our patients and is proud to continue Dr. Williamson's legacy of providing excellent dental care in Genesee County.

Dental Hygienist Anita

Anita graduated from Mott Community College with a certificate as a registered dental assistant. After assisting for 15 years, she continued her education and became a registered dental hygienist in 2009. Anita has been with our office since February of 2012.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time in northern Michigan snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking and learning to fly fish on the Au Sable River with her husband Tracey.

Dental Hygienist Jessica

Jessica graduated from Ferris State University in 1994 as a registered dental hygienist. She grew up in the small town of Mason, Michigan, and moved to this area in 2000. She lives with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys camping, exercising, and reading in her free time.

Dental Assistant Patty

Patty was born and raised in Flushing, Michigan. She started working in the dental field in 1971. She has worked as a chairside Dental Assistant for Dr. Williamson for over 20 years. She enjoys working with patients to provide the best possible care and make it a relaxed and comfortable experience. Patty is also highly trained in assisting dental implant procedures. She likes helping patients attain healthy teeth and beautiful smiles.

When Patty is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter Sara, son-in-law Brent and four grandchildren. She also enjoys trips up north and loves long walks.

Dental Assistant Diane

Diane has been with us since August of 2000. She received her certificate from Mott Community College's Dental Assistant program and has worked in the dental field for nearly 30 years. In 1993 she received her x-ray certification.

Diane and her husband live in Durand, Michigan, and have a daughter. She loves the small town of Flushing and the wonderful supportive staff she works with. Her goal is to make your experience as easy and comfortable as possible.

Dental Assistant Sonya

Sonya graduated in 1993 from Mott Communtity College in the Dental Assisting program. She received her RDA and CDA licenses. She has a son, Robert, who graduated High School in 2016 and is attending Mott College for his pre-requisites. She enjoys gardening, ice fishing, hunting, mud bogging, and sitting around a bonfire with her friends.

Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator Amy

Amy has worked in the dental field since 1987. She has been on our staff since 1995 and we are proud to have her. She is the insurance coordinator and specializes in insurance submission and payment. Amy strives to be sure that each patient understands their insurance benefits fully. We are proud of the fact that Amy is also our scheduling coordinator. She works very hard with all of our patients to meet their appointment needs. Our patients love Amy!!

Amy is the mother of two beautiful girls, currently attending Michigan State and the University of Michigan, Flint, respectively. If that's not enough, Amy also teaches dance to pre-school girls!

Receptionist Sara

Sara has been working in the dental field since 2012 and is the newest member of our amazing team! She is a resident of Flushing with her husband and two young sons, she enjoys reading, cooking and traveling with her family during her free time.

Sara is our new receptionist, one of the friendly faces you see when entering our office, she will be assisting patients with payments and follow up appointments. She is very excited and looking forward to meeting all of our patients and building a relationship with them!

Office Administrator Stacy

Stacy has been working in the administrative capacity for many years, she has worked in oncology, dermatology, chiropractic and dental. She is in the process of completing her Bachelor’s in Health Services Administration with a minor in Human Resource Management through Baker College of Flint.

Stacy, in her spare time, loves being outdoors: hiking, backpacking, kayaking, photography and spending time with friends and family.

Co-op Student/Sterilization Assistant Grant

Grant is a Flushing High School student enrolled in the Work-Based Learning Co-op Program at the high school. Grant has worked in our office since September of 2016 and would like to become a dentist after graduating.

Grant is involved in school clubs and plays for the tennis team. When he is not working he enjoys spending his time with his friends, brother and little sister. He also enjoys watching movies, listening to music and reading.
